What a 21st century leader should do?
In any game you have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

I went on search to be a leader, Searching high and low above the meter, I spoke with authority that I remember, All would follow, all but one member, “Why should I trust you?’ the one did ask, “What have you done to achieve the task?” I thought long and hard of what I did wrong, then I rolled up my sleeves and worked right along,
Shoulder to shoulder we got things done, We worked side by side, all were one, A mate of mine stumbled, I stooped to assist, My hand he did grab, a smile did persist, One was lost, didn’t know what to do, I showed him how, the ropes, something new I praised them one and all for their work, All were unique, but I encouraged each quirk,
When the task was done, one did shout “You’re a great leader!” they all turned about, “Without you there to support our plight, lost would we be with no end in sight”,
I learned that day that I lead best, when I get off my butt and help the rest,
To lead by example is the secret of leadership. Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.
Leadership is influence. As defined by John C. Maxwell, but true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.
As a leader you are defined by characteristics , Bill Gate characterize leaders of 21 century as people who look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others. Good leaders’ looks forward and think of how to bring development by involving other people to be part of the leadership.
The willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of their people in time. This, and not much else, is the essence of leadership. John Paul II showed this example to the all people he comfort people; he is one of the leaders of 21st century to be copied.
Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate, and doubt to offer a solution everybody can understand.

Leader of 21 century should be able to unlocking people’s potential to become better. Not to think on him or her self but to see the crowed surrounding him.
One of the tests of 21 century leader is to have the ability to recognize a problem before it becomes an emergency. As leaders never wait to recommend a problem as an emergency, time is in your hand always.
Leader is that he leaves behind him in other men, the conviction and the will to carry on away he think on how to mobilize others by coalescing people around a shared vision.
Effective leader must be loyalty, measure of Humanity, the true measure of humanity is the care one has for the weaker members of society. “Reputation as a transparent, honest man who served his people with selfless devotion.”
Leadership means talking and discussing with people and persuading .it means making constructive suggestion and working with people to show by your actions what it is that you are urging them to do. It means being one of the people and recognizing your equality with them a leader of 21 century should be able to walk the talk.
Leaders should not treat leadership like wearing clothes; they should not change their representatives for the sake of change, leader is all about magnanimity, and transforming vision into reality. “The mediocre leader tells. The good leader explains. The superior leader demonstrates. The great leader inspires.”
